Estate agency firm Fine & Country has launched into mid west Cornwall, with the brand starting at the start of October.

Covering large parts of both the north and south Cornish coast, the Mid West Cornwall office will focus on showcasing high value homes to a national and international audience.

The division is led by directors John Holman and Mark Willson, newly appointed associate James Shead and general manager Harriette Thompson.

Holman said: “The opportunity to expand into a wider area with Fine & Country was too good to miss.

“We already run a very well-established estate agency with enormous knowledge and experience of the upper quartile market in our area. Combining this expertise with Fine & Country’s marketing power is a very strong proposition.”

Fine & Country mid west Cornwall is focused on the upper quartile of homes in Cornwall, where the average price sits at £1.15 million, with properties over £700,000 forming the core of its portfolio.

At the very top end, the office has just launched an iconic coastal property at £8.5 million where the late Queen Mother used to come ashore from the Royal Yacht Britania to visit the original owner, a close friend of hers.

Willson said: “In this part of the market, we work with a diverse mix of buyers and sellers – high net worth individuals and business owners, lawyers, those successful in finance and banking, people from entertainment, and retirees.

“It’s an incredibly dynamic sector, and Cornwall’s natural beauty and lifestyle continue to attract buyers not only from across the UK but from overseas as well.

“People know the brand already and we are very excited about growing Fine & Country in Cornwall and believe there is a fantastic opportunity here. With our local expertise and Fine & Country’s international reach, we are perfectly positioned to serve this unique market.”

The region includes some of Cornwall’s best-known destinations, with Falmouth, Truro, Newquay, Rock, Padstow, Port Isaac and St Mawes all within its reach.
